Challenges
Creating a timeless visual language for a contemporary e-commerce campaign required deliberate technical and creative risk.
The goal was to produce imagery that would remain visually relevant over time rather than follow short-lived digital trends. Achieving this meant avoiding purely modern capture aesthetics and instead building a look with inherent longevity and character.
To do so, we combined modern cinema cameras with vintage lenses from the 1970s, alongside selected shots captured on Super 8 mm film. This introduced organic texture, subtle imperfections, and tonal depth that digital systems alone cannot replicate.
Filming on a moving boat added operational complexity: continuous motion, shifting reflections, and rapidly changing light demanded constant real-time adjustments in framing, stabilization, and exposure. With environmental variables outside of production control, execution depended on tight coordination, technical precision, and disciplined on-set decision-making.
Impact
Content produced for this campaign was deployed across multiple brand channels, including Instagram posts and stories, e-commerce placements, and press advertisements.
Assets from the production were selected for ongoing brand use beyond initial publication, demonstrating strong internal adoption and long-term value. Visuals were integrated into both editorial and conversion-focused environments, confirming their effectiveness across distinct marketing contexts.
The campaign validated a visual direction that balanced cinematic storytelling with commercial clarity, resulting in content that functioned simultaneously as brand image material and product-driven media.
When every detail carries the brand, precision is everything.
